the gods iii by Donald Kuspit
there was nothing,
and then the small something
that you gave unbidden,
storming the silence
with your thunder
until it rained wonder,
raising questions
that encompassed the vastness.
undoing the blankness
of the sky
with clouds of consciousness,
you opened the way
beyond death,
my hymns burrowing
into the bosom
of your beyond,
huddling in the shroud
of wisdom.
