beloved vii
by Donald Kuspit
you again,
bright there
in the blackness,
waiting,
wondering, nearing,
the opening
as time closes in
on us,
you suddenly limitless
as we approach
the limits,
you suddenly timeless
as time overtakes us,
you the breathing space
in airless inner space,
the sudden freshness
in my stale silence.
come what may
we come together,
converging
in the common cause
of love,
blessing us
so that we undo
the curse of time,
outlasting it.
