beloved vi
by Donald Kuspit
yet again words
to embolden our tie,
to mark the plenitude,
to touch
the wonder,
milestones of memory
on the way
to the future,
where we will build
a temple of love
on the ruins
of the past,
finally forgotten
in our new eden.
kindness of fate
unexpected,
no longer forbidden
by the gods
the fruit of the tree
of knowledge
ripens our feelings,
making eden
our Olympus,
the heights of happiness
we have been allowed
to inhabit.
