beloved v
by Donald Kuspit
doubt is as necessary
as night,
foraging in shadows,
then day comes,
brighter than ever
untinted by shadow,
but we are the rainbow
suddenly born
of both,
our multicolor more mysterious
than their dark and light,
their repeated
coming and going
dulling the senses
with its inevitability,
our intimacy
making them a rainbow
of feelings.
so let us wear our colors
without worrying
thoughts that our rainbow
never fade,
living on our wonder
at each other,
our colors merging
in the rainbow
spanning the sky
of our love.
